Gemawan Association Conducted A Workshop on “Building Protection and Management Communities of Community Livelihood Sources in Rural Areas”
Gemawan Association held a workshop on building a community base of Sustainable Protection and Management of Community Livelihood Sources in village areas. This activity was carried out on December 16 and 17, 2017, at Pantura Sambas hotel by presenting guest speakers from the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Sambas Regency, the Department of Public Housing and Environment of Sambas Regency, and this activity was facilitated by a moderator, namely Muhammad Isa from Gemawan.
The event was attended by the representatives of village and of Serumpun women’s groups. The background of this activity was to carry out good village development planning which was development based on the village potential and local wisdom which has been practiced from generation to generation by the village community itself. The aim of this activity was to provide an understanding of the importance of management and protection on the sources of community-managed land, to provide an understanding of the concept of sustainable agriculture which is environmentally friendly and to build community participation in the management and protection of the livelihood sources of community managed land.
