A total of 26 members from the Subur Jaya Women Farmers Group (KWT) and the Gembur Bersama KWT gathered together for a crucial agenda: the drafting of their Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART). The activity, held in Sungai Rasau Village, Sungai Pinyuh Subdistrict, Mempawah Regency, marks a serious step by these women farmers to strengthen their organizational governance.
The drafting of the AD/ART is not merely an administrative matter, but serves as the primary foundation for both groups to obtain legal recognition through a Decree (SK). With clear regulations, KWT Subur Jaya and KWT Gembur Bersama are expected to manage the village’s agricultural potential more professionally and transparently.
During the meeting, the participants, consisting of 26 active women, engaged in warm discussions regarding the division of member roles, contribution rules, and long-term plans for managing idle land in their area to make it more productive.
Roni Antoni, the Community Officer facilitating this process, expressed great optimism about the members’ enthusiasm.
“Our hope as facilitators is that the drafting of this AD/ART is not just a document on paper, but becomes a ‘compass’ for the women in running their organization. We want KWT Subur Jaya and KWT Gembur Bersama to grow into groups that are economically independent, have strong leadership, and are able to become drivers of food security in Sungai Rasau Village,” he stated.
Furthermore, he hoped that once this legality is finalized, both groups will be able to more easily establish partnerships with external parties or government agencies for the development of seedlings, agricultural tools, and market access for their horticultural harvests.
The activity concluded with the signing of the main points of the AD/ART, which will serve as the working basis for the newly formed management board.
