JARINGPEDAS (The Farmers’ Commodity Network) of Mempawah Regency is taking a strategic step by holding a workshop to formulate the organization’s Strategic Plan (Renstra). This activity, held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, aims to strengthen the direction and focus of the struggle for Mempawah Commodity Farmers towards economic independence and justice.
This Renstra workshop was attended by representatives from 15 villages in Mempawah Regency and is a continuation of a series of network strengthening activities that began in June 2025.

The Village Head of Galang, Rasyidi, who opened the event, emphasized the importance of having a long-term plan for commodity farmers. “I strongly support activities aimed at advancing farmers. Formulating this plan will help determine strategic steps for the next few years,” said Rasyidi, showing the village government’s full support for the JARINGPEDAS Mempawah initiative.
The workshop facilitator, Lani Ardiansyah, explained that the Renstra document serves as a vital instrument for maintaining the consistency of the movement. “Without a Renstra, the network risks losing focus. Through this workshop, we are mapping out a 3 to 5-year vision, formulating a mission, and determining the strategic objectives of JARINGPEDAS,” said this activist from Gemawan.
This activity specifically aims to produce the final formulation of the vision, mission, and new management structure. This document will serve as the foundation for developing the Mempawah Commodity Farmers network to be more focused and sustainable.
The formulation of this Renstra is a tangible manifestation of the grassroots collectivity spirit, ensuring that every step taken by JARINGPEDAS Mempawah is oriented towards farmer independence and the sustainability of the struggle to achieve economic justice in the commodity sector.
JARINGPEDAS is committed to ensuring that the farmers’ struggle has a strong and organized foundation for the future.
